Momentous Insurance Opens Sports Division

Momentous Insurance Brokerage, a California-based company has announced the formation of a new specialty division. The new practice will focus on, and be exclusive to, sports, and will provide insurance and risk management solutions for teams, coaches, and individual athletes. Company president, Diane Brinson says she plans to develop this business unit into the largest sports practice in the United States, within two years.

The players on the Momentous team include sales executive Steve Rivera, who has specialized in an upscale market, providing insurance plans for professional athletes, including those who play in the NFL, NBA and MLB, as well as other clientele of high net worth.

The Momentous Sports Division will help athletes by recognizing that such people are exposed to risk on and off the field, Rivera told reporters, using the catch phrase, “complete athlete” to further illustrate his point. His division will help them handle their entire lifestyles, using an holistic risk management approach in order to protect their livelihoods and their assets.

As well, the sports division will design programs for sports-related businesses, including professional service providers who host sporting events and own sports venues.
